Problem Note 53790: An error occurs when you export metadata for SAS® Stored Processes that contain one or more shared prompts

DetailsCodeHotfixAboutRate It

The following errors might occur when you export SAS® Stored Processes that contain one or more shared prompts or when you individually export a shared prompt:

INFO - ******** Exporting Metadata ********
ERROR - Failure exporting metadata from source server.
Reason: The public type definition 'Prompt' (version 1), specified by object
Prompt : 'PROMPT_NAME' (ID="A59ONK7H.CB0000LU"), does not exist.
INFO - The export process has finished with errors.

This problem is most likely to occur if you edit the shared prompt using SAS® Management Console.

You can correct this problem by running the SAS program that appears on the Full Code tab in this note.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

For customers running the second maintenance release for SAS® 9.3 (TS1M2), applying Hot Fix I15011 is necessary to avoid future problems with exporting shared prompts.

For customers running SAS® 9.4 (TS1M0), applying Hot Fix L45002 is necessary to avoid future problems with exporting shared prompts.

After you apply the appropriate hot fix, new shared prompts will export correctly. However, you do need to correct existing shared prompts that you create and edite before the hot-fix application. As mentioned previously, you can correct these existing prompts using the program that is included on the Full Code tab in this note.
